Thank you so much for stopping by! The Soft Life Diaries was created after I spent years in the corporate world (Government Contracting to be exact, what a snore!) and finally decided that enough was enough! But before we get started, here’s a little bit about me. 

About Me

My name is Khala (pronounced like Kay-La). I used to squirm at the idea of putting my internet footprint out there attached to my very unique name spelling, but I must be feeling daring today. (Could that be the third cup of coffee speaking?). 

One of my resolutions this year was to live life to the fullest, cheesy I know, but someone’s gotta do it. Now that my late quarter-life crisis has entered the chat, welcome again, to my little corner of the web. 

I’m 27, born February 10, 1998. For most of my teenage-life, I considered myself as a Millennial, only to find out in my twenties that I’m technically Gen Z. Any other “Zillennials” out there?

I’m an introvert at heart but will come out of my shell if necessary. I love God and plan to talk about him frequently on here, so if that’s not your thing, it’s all good… maybe this just isn’t the blog for you. 

I have a passion for content creation; specifically writing. I’ve been writing short stories since I was a little girl (7, 8 years old, maybe?) Throughout the years, I haven’t always written consistently, but whenever I pick it back up, it’s pure bliss. P.s., plan to read excerpts of future books here, as well!

I love to sing, I go ice skating for fun. Shopping is my fave. I’ve lived in Virginia all of my life and currently reside in NOVA (Northern VA) but would love to see the world and all it has to offer. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the show, “With Love, Meghan.” on Netflix despite its less-than-favorable reviews. I think that show is such a beautiful breath of fresh air that’s an easy distraction from these strange times we’re in right now. Not only that, but it’s encouraged me to lean more into a soft life — thus creating this blog today.
